Natural Movement with the Alexander Technique
Natural movements such as walking, running, jumping, rolling, climbing, balancing, throwing, catching and lifting, and carrying loads are forms of movement that we have virtually inherited. These movements are food for our body and it is ideally built for these forms of movement. We develop what is required of us, what is not required is saved. That’s how nature works, that’s how our organism works. Training success is the result of such adaptation. In a sedentary society, it is important to take up our inheritance. The Alexander Technique offers the optimal tools to make these natural movements efficient and mindful. This is what this workshop is all about. The workshop will be taught in English and German.
About Christoph Bacher
I was born in Austria in 1975 and grew up in the mountains. For 25 years I have been active as a personal trainer and fitness coach and have accompanied many people on their way to feel more comfortable in their body and mind. I prefer a playful and explorative approach to movement. This is exactly why I found the Alexander Technique, because for me it is very undogmatic and can serve as a foundation for any movement.
I have always been interested in the way people move, and that is why I have borrowed a lot from children and indigenous peoples, because I think that they best embody the natural movements of human beings.
